Dr Stephen Franks graduated in Dentistry from University College Hospital, London, in 1990 and has practised as a dentist in the UK and in Israel. Stephen was a dental teacher at Guy's, King's and St. Thomas' Dental School. He writes for professional journals and enjoys lecturing to other dentists.

Stephen excels at reconstructive dentistry, rebuilding teeth at an advanced stage of disrepair. He has spent eight years at the Moor Park Specialist Dental Centre, looking after patients referred for their complex and challenging dental treatments before focusing his clinical practice on the field of dental implantology, attending several practices as an implantologist including here in Lowestoft.

Stephen has received extensive implant training including a year long certificate course under the International Team for Implantology and he is currently studying towards a Masters Degree in Dental Implantology at Bristol University.

Dr Stephen Franks is passionate about his work. He's been looking after people's' teeth for more than 20 years.

For Stephen, being a dentist is more than just fixing teeth. "Of course dentistry is about healthy teeth and gums. But it's so much more. It's about giving people confidence. There are many people who are just embarrassed to smile. There are others who can't enjoy the food they like because they can't chew properly. When my patients walk out of the surgery, you can just see the change in them. It's not just their teeth. Their confidence has returned!
